M.Sc. Chemistry

M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a 2-year postgraduate course in Pharmaceutical Chemistry- the study of drugs and drug development. The discipline includes concepts and processes of drug discovery, delivery, absorption, metabolism, and such. Pharmaceutical Chemistry also involves elements of Biomedical Analysis, Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmacodynamics.Pharmaceutical Chemistry-related work is usually based in lab settings.
The course components include an advanced study of Drug-based cures and remedies for disease, Analytical techniques, Pharmacology and metabolism, Quality assurance and drug chemistry, Development of life-saving remedies, Enhancement of the speed of delivery of new medications.Such postgraduates are hired in capacities such as Scientist, Professor, Researcher, Research Executive, Quality Control & Quality Assurance Analyst, Scientific Data Entry Specialist, Patent Analyst, Pharmaceutical Patent Analyst, etc.
Chemistry is the branch of science concerned with the substances of which matter is composed, the investigation of their properties and reactions, and the use of such reactions to form new substances. Chemistry, the science that studies the composition, structure, properties and change of matter. It is chiefly concerned with atoms and molecules and their interactions and transformations, for example, the properties of the chemical bonds formed between atoms to create chemical compounds.

Career Opportunity After M.Sc Chemistry Courses

Chemistry is a basic science which applies an understanding of molecular structure and reactivity to the study of substances, whether they are biological, geological, cosmic, or synthetic in origin. Chemists are thus concerned with fundamental causes of ransformation in matter and with synthesis and characterization of new substances.Persons with a knowledge of Chemistry have careers in a great variety of industries, research laboratories and state agencies. The Master’s degree in Chemistry also provides a good background for advanced study in such fields as Biochemistry, Botany, Business Management, Chemical Engineering, Dentistry, Environmental Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry, Geochemistry, Geology, Medical Chemistry, Medicine, Metallurgy, Microbiology, Museum Science, Oceanography, Patent Law, Pharmacology, Physiology, Toxicology & Veterinary Medicine.
