About DMLT
The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is a two-year programme that can usually be completed after passing the 12th grade exam. DMLT is a paramedical course that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing disease using clinical laboratory and other physical tests. Students enrolling in the programme receive practical training, workshops, internal exams, internships, and other opportunities.
Students will also learn how to conduct health tests, use medical equipment, match blood samples for blood transfusions, monitor blood pressure and cholesterol levels, write reports, and perform other tasks. After completing the course, students are generally employed as laboratory assistants, medical assistants, and in other similar job roles in hospitals and medical clinics.
