B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology is a 3 year undergraduate course, eligibility to which is qualifying 10+2 Level.  B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Sciences is an undergraduate program also called Clinical laboratory science. It is an allied health profession that is concerned with the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of disease through the use of clinical laboratory tests. During the program these tests help candidates to learn and diagnose, detect and treat diseases. Additionally the program deals with the collecting of information’s sampling, reporting, testing and documentation. As important members of the health care group, medical laboratory experts play an important role in collecting the information required to provide the best care to an ill or injured patient. B.SC Medical Lab Science– Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science  also called Clinical Laboratory Science is concerned with the diagnosis treatment and prevention of diseases through the use of clinical laboratory tests. In this programme the students learn to perform diagnostic analysis on body fluids which include hematological bacteriological immunologic chemical and microscopic tests that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This programme also equips students with the knowledge and skills required to handle advanced lab equipments and perform accurate laboratory tests

B.Sc. MLS Eligibility Criteria

Those candidates who have passed Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science or Pharmacy from recognized Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.

Two years Diploma in Pharmacy or Medical Lab Technology after 10+2, recognized by any State Board
