About B.A. Hindi
Bachelor of Arts in Hindi or B.A Hindi is a three-year undergraduate degree programme, which aims at teaching the students all the fundamental aspects of Hindi Literature and Language. Through this course, the students learn a great deal about various aspects of Hindi language through various literary works written in Hindi. The students are also exposed to the rich heritage of Hindi Literature and Language.
Topics such as linguistics, applied grammar, translation, prose etc. are an integral part of this three-year undergraduate programme. In B.A. Hindi, the students are also taught in detail about the development of modern Hindi language from Sanskrit, Khadi Boli, Urdu, Persian, and several other vernacular Hindi language forms.

B.A. Hindi Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for B.A Hindi admissions in various Indian Universities and Colleges, the aspirants must have –
- Passed their 10+2 examination from a recognized Board
- Not mandatorily passed the qualifying examination from a particular stream
- Studied Hindi as a subject at the qualifying exam level to be given preference (non-Hindi students are also eligible)
B.A Hindi Admission Process
Several Universities and institutions offer direct admission into their B.A Hindi programme, i.e. based on the applicants’ 10+2 exam marks by resorting to a cutoff method. However, there are some universities and institutions, which conducts entrance test for admission into their undergraduate programme in Hindi, and the final admission is done based on cumulative marks secured by the applicants in the qualifying examination and entrance test.
B.A Hindi Course Fee
The course fee for B.A Hindi programme differs from institute to institute and University to University. Public Universities/Institutions charge less than the private Universities/Institutions for the undergraduate Hindi (Hons.) programme. On average, the course fee for B.A Hindi ranges between 20,000 rupees to 25,000 rupees.
