ABOUT AIIMS PG
AIIMS, New Delhi will release the official notification for AIIMS PG 2021. All India Institute of Medical Sciences Post Graduate Entrance Examination (AIIMS PG) is a national-level entrance exam conducted in online mode at the Postgraduate level. Candidates who wish to do pursue Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses offered by the affiliated institutes have to appear for this entrance examination.
AIIMS PG CONDUCTING BODY
All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi (AIIMS) is the conducting authority of AIIMS PG. The aim of the institute is to provide Undergraduate and Postgraduate medical education to the students in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of medical education to all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India. The Institute also has comprehensive facilities for teaching, research and patient care. AIIMS basically conducts teaching programmers in medical and Para-medical courses both at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels and awards its own degrees.

AIIMS PG 2021 - NEW CHANGES INTRODUCED

Announcement of AIIMS PG 2021 Important Dates:
The important dates of AIIMS PG 2021 will be announced by the conducting authority. Candidates will find the important dates of AIIMS PG 2021 on this page.
Increase in the Total Number of Seats:
As per the new changes, in AIIMS PG 2021 (January session), a total of nine (9) seats in seven AIIMS for MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh courses has been increased. Now, AIIMS PG 2021 (January session) will be conducted for taking admission to a total of 548 seats. In the last session, a total of 539 seats were filled.
Increase in AIIMS PG Exam Cities:
The AIIMS PG 2021 will be conducted in 68 cities across India and a total of 16 cities has been added, while 12 cities have been removed. The last session of AIIMS PG has been conducted in 64 cities of India by the regulatory authority.
Total Number of EWS Seats Offered:
A total of 53 seats has been added in seven AIIMS institutes under MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh courses in compliance with the 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). However, as per the last session brochure, only 31 seats were added.
Change in Pattern of Examination:
AIIMS PG 2021 will have seven types of multiple types of questions (MCQs) in the entrance examination. The types of MCQs that are asked in the entrance examination are- single best answer type questions, match the following type questions, sequential arrangements type questions, multiple true-false type questions, multiple completion type questions, reason-assertion type questions, and, extended matching items/questions (EMI/EMQ). All the multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be judged through a different marking scheme.
Duration of AIIMS PG 2021 Exam Changed:
The duration of AIIMS PG 2021 has also been changed. The entrance examination will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Within the duration of three hours, candidates will have to attempt the 200 MCQs asked in the entrance examination. Earlier, AIIMS PG was conducted for a duration of one and a half hours and only 90 questions were asked in the entrance examination.
